Solanda Station
Solanda is the third station on Line 1 and serves one of the most densely populated districts in southern Quito. The Solanda market, a landmark of local trade and traditional food, is a few minutes from the exit.
Location and access
Solanda station sits at the heart of the Solanda district, one of the most densely populated areas of southern Quito. It grew out of a social housing programme and is now an established residential and commercial neighbourhood.
Getting there: on foot from Solanda, La Ferroviaria and Quito Sur, or by bus along the local roads. The Solanda market is a few minutes' walk from the station exit.

The station has ticket offices for buying and topping up the Metro Q card, automatic machines, access gates, lifts and escalators for priority passengers, information screens showing waiting times, CCTV and security staff. The station is fully accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.

- Saturdays: 07:00 – 23:00
- Sundays and holidays: 07:00 – 22:00
- Frequency: roughly every 5–10 minutes depending on demand
