Quitumbe Station
Quitumbe is the southern terminus of Quito Metro Line 1 and the first stop on the route. It sits beside the Quitumbe intercity bus terminal, the main departure point for long-distance coaches serving the south of the country.
Location and access
Quitumbe station is on Avenida Quitumbe Ñan, at the far southern edge of Quito, about 200 metres from the Quitumbe intercity bus terminal. A covered pedestrian walkway links the two in under five minutes.
Getting there: by feeder bus from Guamaní, La Ecuatoriana, Chillogallo, La Bretaña and Turubamba; on foot from the bus terminal; or by car, since the station has free supervised parking for Metro passengers.

Facilities
The station has ticket offices for buying and topping up the Metro Q card, automatic machines, access gates, lifts and escalators for priority passengers, information screens showing waiting times, CCTV and security staff. As a terminus it also has free supervised parking and feeder bus bays. It is fully step-free.

Quitumbe station operates every day of the year, including public holidays:
- Monday to Friday: 05:30 – 23:00
- Saturdays: 07:00 – 23:00
- Sundays and holidays: 07:00 – 22:00
- Frequency: roughly every 5–10 minutes depending on demand
